The march is to be an organised, civilised and peaceful protest, and will be run in such a way as to cause minimum inconvenience and nuisance to the public and the police.
We willnotbe a rowdy mob; quite the opposite, because we need to be taken seriously and any inappropriate behaviour will be counterproductive for the cause.
So, a strict condition for participation will be that all participants behave in a civilised and peaceful way at all times, as guided by the March Stewards.
The March Stewards are instructed to ensure that anybody unwilling or unable to behave in a civilised, peaceful and disciplined way will be excluded from the march.
We would be very grateful for any donations to contribute to the costs of running the march, including for example for the cost of banners and placards.
Note that we expect various forms of media to be covering the march.
It is the full responsibility of each individual to satisfy themselves that:
The march will be appropriate for them, in relation to the physicality of the event and any health and safety issues. We recommend participants bring plenty to drink, especially if it is a hot and sunny day
They are comfortable with the idea that various forms of media will be covering the event, including perhaps TV; and of course, that many photographs will be taken.
The philosophy behind our “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH March for JUSTICE” is for it to be a highly inclusive collective endeavour. As such, it is obviously not being held to support any particular political party or ideology, and it has tolerance and togetherness as central tenets. It therefore follows that respect for all races, genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations and religions is paramount at all times; we’re all in this together; ENOUGH IS ENOUGH for all of us!
